GATHERING UPDATE

GOOD NEWS:

WE ARE GATHERING AGAIN.

BETTER NEWS:

WE ARE GATHERING TO WORSHIP AND

BE SERVED BY THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD.

OUTDOOR GATHERING:

BEGINNING SUNDAY, MAY24TH, WE WILL BE GATHERING OUTSIDE THE CHURCH BUILDING ON THE LAWN AT 10:30AM TO WORSHIP OUR GOD TOGETHER.

VISION FOR GATHERING

There is no shortage of confusion, controversy, and chaos during this season. There is no need for us to add to that heaping pile! Meeting outside simplifies everything about gathering during this season. We just encourage you to exercise caution to keep 6 feet of physical distance from those you don’t live with or have not been in regular contact with. Face masks are encouraged, but not required since we will be outside and maintaining 6 feet of physical distance.

"CHRIST OR NOTHING!"

Our motto through this season is: Christ or nothing! Our church gatherings mean nothing if Christ is not in it. There is no magic power in a church service. What will become us if we slide into a culture of fear, disunity, arguing about medical advice? As was said, that pile of chaos has no more room on top of it. Rather, we hold out Christ to one another and to our community. Real hope and meaning are found in Christ or nothing. Our gathering together is an essential part of how we grow in Christ and our public witness of Christ. Let’s keep it to just that: Christ or nothing.

We haven’t missed a building these many weeks, but we missed gathering together as a community committed together in Christ. We don’t call it “social distancing” because we are having a very social gathering, but one where we will keep a certain physical distance while we finally unite together in person.

If you need real hope, real mercy, and real meaning, come and welcome to Jesus Christ! He is with us. He is with his people as we gather in His name.

EXPECTATIONS

IF YOU COME TO OUR GATHERING, HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

People to greet you as you park and help you to get to the gathering location while maintaining that 6 feet of physical distance.

A table with a place to put your offering, if you are visiting, feel no pressure to give, along with someone handing out communion elements.

We will hav e some extra face masks available for those who want or need one.

Chairs grouped together with 6 feet of space to the next grouping (feel free to bring your own blankets or chairs).

A lot of people who are glad to be able to meet together, united around the Gospel of Christ.

To hear other voices singing out in worship and praise to the living God.

Prayers to the God who hears and responds to the voices of His people.

To hear the Word of God, which alone is able to save and build up our souls.
